Bring me a stack of non-fiction books and I will file them under my desk or bed frame to give that extra bit of stability. Now give me a novel and I'm back to where I was as a child. Here Jonathan Kellerman has once again created an action filled conflict that has the emotional details that make the twists and the turns in the dramatic narrative something that could be believable and exciting! In BONES, Jonathan Kellerman gave the reader two marvelous characters in Aaron Fox and Moses (Moe) Reed. With the same mother but different fathers, these two have chosen similar paths in life and yet they are as different as night and day, salt and pepper, private eye and LAPD detective. Over the following centuries there were great attempts at translating the Bible accurately and in the modern, everyday language. The most popular was and is the King James Version which was publish in 1611 by the church of England. It was accurate and it was in the contemporary 17th century English. You can even help him come up with his own children's audio book, as a short reading enhancement exercise. It's easier for you to raise an independent reader if at an early age you immerse your child to children's audio books. This also motivates self-reliance in your child. Soon you'll find him choosing his own titles for listening. Beyond the Bookshelf isn't merely about novels, my friends and I will be reviewing stories presented in all forms. |
