Asian businesses are always looking for effective ways to train their managers. Their needs range from time management, sales management, distance management and trying to achieve that balance between being a leader and a manager. What they have found is that distance learning or E-Learning can meet all of their needs, efficiently and at a cost that is significantly reduced from almost any other method of training. This tend started in Singapore and Hong Kong but has now spread throughout mainland China and the rest of Asia.

Some estimates have placed the number of Asian workers that need to be trained or retrained to meet existing and future needs of the Asia pacific region as high as 750 million people. Large corporations with thousands of employees scattered at numerous locations across Asia already have online communication vehicles to provide information to employees and gather their input and feedback. What they have decided to do is to utilize this online network to educate their employees as well. China is a key example, with a population of 1.3 billion people spread across one of the largest land masses in the world; E-Learning is really their only solution to effectively train their staff.
