There are more than billions of Web Sites, running Online Business, offering products and services. But only a few manage to make sale. Only a few are capable of pulling in visitors i.e. targeted traffics and turn them into customers. Only a few are able to get profitable returns on their investments.

Then whats wrong with the rest that do not make any sale at all? Even if they seem to have the best designs, even if they recieve huge traffics, they dont make any sale. No need to talk about the WebSites that doesnt even recieve any visitors, leave alone making any sale. What seperates those who make regular sales and those who dont even recieve any traffics at all?

Easy, Some WebSites just dont follow the basics of running an effective Online Business process.

They dont know how to build websites properly, most importantly they dont know how to write keyword-focussed-contents that ranks well with the search engines, effective contents that provides the exact information visitors look for, contents that PRESells and brings the visitors into a ready-to-buy frame of mind and turns them into lifelong customers, contents that builds credibility and trust and how to successfully promote web sites to reach a wider, targeted, willing-to-buy audience.

(Sidebar: Contents are more important because even if your promotion is effective and brings huge traffics you wont be able to convince the visitors to buy if your marketing efforts are not backed by a powerful content that describes your services and products)

What are the basics of selling on the Net?

Simple,

1) Decide on what you want to offer as a service and sell on the net?

2) Build and develop a web site properly.

3) Write high info-value keyword focussed content that ranks well with the search engines. A PRESelling content (not a sales pitch) that establishes confidence and trust and influences the visitors into becoming customers.

After you are done with the above process, you need an effective, useful and easy to use marketing and promotional strategy to let the audience know that you exist.

There are many online as well as offline ways to promote your web site.

Online methods include:

Search Engine placements, pay-per-clicks , reciprocal linking, classified ads, banner exchange, text-link exchange and others.

Offline methods include:

Media and television advertising, newspaper classified ads, placards, radio announcements, word of mouth and others.

Remember, for a professional, profitable and sucessful Online Business you need effective strategies, intelligent investments of time, money and energy and motivation to succeed.
