Discount Broadway Show Tickets in New York -- Without the wait!
The TKTS booth in South Street Seaport sells discount tickets to Broadway Shows the day of the show. New York Party Shuttle Tours will take you to the booth and allow you time to purchase tickets. Whats great about this location is that it has significantly less traffic than the popular Times Square location, with the exact same available tickets and deals! The TKTS booth at the South Street Seaport (at the corner of Front and John Streets) is one of the great little-known bargains in the city. Because of its location far from the Great White Way, there is seldom a line, certainly never as long as the one found at Times Square. Like the uptown version, tickets are available at 25%, 35% and 50% of full price (plus a $3 service charge per ticket) on the day of performance. The booth opens at 11:00 am and for those interested in matinee tickets, they can be purchased the day BEFORE. Wednesday matinee tickets are available on Tuesday, Saturday matinee tickets are available on Friday, and Sunday matinee and evening performances (yes, there are some plays that perform on Sunday evening) are sold on Saturday. You cannot get this service uptown. Therefore, on Sundays, this booth is closed. Tickets must be purchased with either cash or travelers checks. As for the most frequently asked question concerning the selection of shows, ticket systems are computerized and both TKTS booths draw from the same pool of tickets released by the shows box offices throughout the day. So, the availability is constantly changing, both here and uptown. You should know that the most popular shows (such as Wicked) usually sell out from the theater box offices, so they are not offered at TKTS, but most of the long-running shows in town are available at a significant discount at this location. Contact New York Party Shuttle Tours for more information about the TKTS booths in New York City.
